Can a loaf of bread be a catalyst for a great conversation? We think so. With three St. Louis-area gathering places – for customers to pop in or linger, to sit quietly or share in conversations and a meal. We treasure our St. Louis roots and are a vital member of the neighborhoods and communities we serve. The collective “we” of Companion is what makes it all possible. At Companion, the foundation of who we are is bread baking. But we’re also in the business of supporting small growers and producers, encouraging sustainability, pushing culinary limits, even fostering friendships. To us, the creative process and the many people it touches along the way are as important as the loaf itself!

In 1994, Kaldi’s first opened its doors in the DeMun neighborhood near St. Louis’ grand Forest Park. Our mission was to provide our customers the best coffee experience possible. We bought our own roaster in 1995 and started producing the best coffee we’d ever tasted – and many local cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores agreed. Today, our roasting facility resides in St. Louis city, where we specialize in sourcing and roasting the finest coffees in the world and helping our customers brew them to their ultimate potential. We’re dedicated to the success of our company through continuous improvement, exceptional service, and adaptability. Whether winning barista competitions, traveling to far-away coffee farms, or sharing a French Press with friends at one of our local cafes, our mission remains the same: create memorable coffee experiences!
Local Harvest Café and Catering | LocalHarvestCafe.com
314 772 8815 | 3137 Morgan Ford Rd in Tower Grove South (63116) Map
At Local Harvest Café, you’ll find the same dedication to locally grown and produced foods as you will at the store where we started—Local Harvest Grocery. Opened in July, 2008, we have expanded on our original idea and now offer a full espresso bar using Goshen Coffee, hot breakfasts, a wide variety of house-baked goods and Companion baked goods, our popular weekend brunch, full lunch menu, and full-service dinner. Everything we serve is made with the highest quality ingredients available, including organic produce and local meats from farmers who pasture raise their animals. Our baked goods contain organic grains and we always have vegetarian and vegan options available. We believe in making food that is fresh, seasonal, healthy, and delicious. Come see why we were recognized by The New York Times as the place to eat dinner if you only have 36 hours in town.
