Owned by our members but open to all, we feature basic grocery products, such as farm-fresh produce, bread, milk, eggs, and coffee, with a special focus on locally made or grown foods and other items.

Founded in 1981 by local residents, we’re a community-based neighborhood development organization with a mission to revitalize the physical and social dimensions of the Old North neighborhood in a manner that respects the community’s historic, cultural, and urban character. Our comprehensive neighborhood redevelopment efforts have included mixed-income housing development (both historic rehab and new construction, for-sale and rental); economic development (including the historic rehab of vacant buildings at the former 14th Street Pedestrian Mall, to provide new commercial spaces to attract new businesses); neighborhood planning; community-building initiatives; beautification and community gardens; and neighborhood health initiatives that bring more healthy and affordable food options to the community through the North City Farmers’ Market and the Old North Grocery Co-op.

We are a local nonprofit organization that is a diverse coalition of citizens committed to revitalization in the city of St. Louis through historic preservation and sensitive, planned development. We address social, political, and economic issues as they impact each of St. Louis' neighborhoods. The St. Louis Rehabbers Club Listserv, a 2,000+ member listserv through Yahoo groups that allows people interested in rehabbing issues to connect to each other. 2. The Big BIG Tour http://bigbigtour.org/, the only free-to-the-public tour of for-sale residential properties in St. Louis city. This one-day event is held annually; in 2011, it will be on Sunday, May 15th.
